On the 26th, a group of our NAFSO members were invited to a workshop conducted by the Ministry of Fisheries. It was on our Policy Document. Our members presented their ideas & views regarding main issues confronted with tsunami disaster. It was a great opportunity for us to create an awareness with regard to the questions which has aroused due to the tsunami. According to the policy document we had prepared mentioning the rights of fisher people before tsunami it had been accepted by them the identity of the fisher people. In addition to that our organization’s members have been appreciated by the ministry of Fisheries in respect of our policy frame work and they were invited to help with the policy document in nationally.
