Today, 26th of July NAFSO, MONLAR & SVISTRI organized a poster campaign island wide against the construction of Highway Road towards Matara to Baticolaw. We have got the news in proof that Euro million 120 has been given to the Sri Lankan Government by the European Commission. We as National Fisheries Solidarity prepared a poster in contrarily to that as mentioned above. Today in the morning at about 8.00 a.m. some of our activists were hanging the posters on the road. Meantime two of our female activists and three of our male activists were taken into custody by Mirihana police station. We are very strongly opposing for that action taken by the police.
