Year Memorial Seminar of Lasantha Wikramathunga

Year Memorial Seminar of Lasantha Wikramathunga took place today at Jayawardana Center in Colombo. At least 250 people including Journalists, civil society activist, human rights activists and politicians gathered for commemorating the anti government and heroic journalist’s death.

The opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe who attends in this programme today observed that it was part of an anti-democratic conspiracy and accused the government of attempting to silence its critics.

Pakyasothi Sarawanmuththu, Mangala Samaweera, Mano Ganeshan, Ravi Karunanayake, and also Sirithunga Jayasooriya, were gave their participation on this occasion and highly condemned the government role on this brutal killing and failing of arresting assassins of Lasantha Wickramathunga even after one year.

This memorial seminar was organized by “FLAT FORM FOR FREEDOM” and National Fisheries Solidarity Movement also took part in this programme to commemorate the heroic journalist Lasantha Wickramathunga.

Then they came for me
