Inviting for a Round Table Dialogue on Tourism impact in KKS, Kuchcheveli,Pasikkudah and Kalpitiya


 We want to have sustainable fisheries in the country, while tourism is one way of the benefit the coastal communities and not a hindrance to their livelihoods, land and human rights as a whole. We need to have a dialogue among all the parties engage in tourism and also responsible the well being of coastal communities including fishing communities. We are organizing a round table dialogue for this and we want to achieve through a dialogue among policy makers, tourism bureaucrats, fisher folk, civil society groups, investors, hoteliers etc.


Therefore, we are inviting you to take part in a round table discussion with the fishermen, farmers, hoteliers, investors and civil society groups in order to sort out and mitigate the issues on promoting tourism industry through a dialogue. Our dialogue will be based on the research NAFSO conducted in collaboration with Society for the Threatened People [STP], Switzerland.
