Gall District fishers and farmers participated to the gall district conference on food sovereignty and shared their views and experiences on the matters discussed.
National Fisheries Solidarity Movement together with Movement for Land and agriculture Reform (MONLAR) and several other civil organisations united as Movement for Food Sovereignty, conducting Island wide campaign from 12th to 16th October 2015 with the aims of aware communities on the matter to act to protect our rights on food and fight for food sovereignty and build pressure on government authorities to act and crate necessary policies to establish food sovereignty.
about 30 persons representing fisheries and farmer communities were participated to the program conducted on 14th October and Southern Fisheries Organisation in Galle were the host organisation.
