If Women Stop: The World Stops - APWLD lead "Women's Global Strike"

The Asia Pacific Forum for Women Law and Development[APWLD] had announced the Women's Global Strike on 08th March, 2020.
The role of women on social development is not visible and not recognized adequately too. The role of women in the family, society and the development process is taken for granted. So, women unitedly come forward to demonstrate the important role they play as well as exercise power of Women as a symbolic gesture of Global Strike.
The important role played by women in the food producer fields of agriculture as well as in the fisheries field is not recognized. Their presence in the field is also restricted. However, their role should be counted and respected as equal partners of the field. It is important that APWLD has taken this issues forward and advocate this in the global level.
Sanam Ameen, the program officer of APWLD said at the ESCR-Net workshop held at Mexico, "APWLD is taking actions to visualize the important role played by the women in the society through a Women's Global Strike on Women's Day, 2020. Please join hand with women and highlight the important role play by Women globally. We need to draw attention of every one what we are doing as women."
"We urge every one to join hand with us on this important, powerful event globally" Added Sanam at the session.
