Support to Ragamwela people for coconut cultivation

National Fisheries Solidarity Movement ( NAFSO)  has a long term relationship with the people in Panama in Ampara district. NAFSO supports to the land struggle of the people in Panama. PARL is one of the land movements which have been built consisting of different organizations. National Fisheries Solidarity Movement is a partner of it. PARL supported to provide 340 coconut plants for the people in Panama.  Cultivation is the main occupation of the people there. Coconuts plants were distributed among the families to develop their home garden planting coconut as a stable crop while they cultivate vegetable and fruits. 340 coconut plants were distributed among 34 families as ten for each. Hor. Panama Sri Chandrarathne thero in Panama Sri Bodirukkarama temple, Mr. Issadeen, district coordinator of Ampara District Fisheries Solidarity and Mr. Somasiri, Chair person of Panampaththu Protection Organization jointed with this value occasion.
