Polonnaruwa Inland Fishers met there farmers


2008.12.12 is a special date for Polonnaruwa District fishers and farmers because they had organized an experience sharing programme to develop their future activities as well as to evaluate what they have achieved in the past years as a peoples movement joining with National Fisheries Solidarity Movement. (NAFSO).

In addition to that these were the discussed key issues of the programme.

  1. How to continue small group’s activities in the district.
  2. Develop their micro financial programs for keeping their family economies successfully.
  3. Achieve their project targets.
  4. Make an attitude change for a better world.

Farmers fishers were finding solution, for which raised problems from the programme as they are well experienced people in this social system facing all economic set backs in the country.

There were around 80 participants representing from various places in Polonnnaruwa District. Mainly this programme was monitored by Polonnaruwa Inland Fisheries Organization, which is having a partnership a partnership with National Fisheries Solidarity Movement. (NAFSO)
