Landless People in Jaffna Protest asking their lands back

Displaced people for living in North Walikamam in Jafna, conduct a fasting protest near the Durga Amman temple on 15th February, requesting their lands take over by the government in the war period. Those people still living in temporary shelters for 23 years.   It was organized by welfare organization of walikamam displaced people and supported by the Tamil National Alliance(TNA), Thellippalei local government, National Fisheries Solidarity movement together with Jaffna District Fisheries Solidarity. 

TNA general secretary, Mawai Senadiraja, opposition party leader Ranil Wickramasinghe, Wickramabahu Karunarathne, Manoganeshan, several other parliament members, local government members, representatives from civil organizations  and Land less people from K.K.S. Mallakam, Thyitri, Urani, Thelippale were participated for this  event.

Coordinating officers of National Fisheries Solidarity Movement, Mr.Anthony Jesudasan and Mrs. Lavina Hasanthi, Jaffna district coordinator Mr. N.Inpanayagam, Ampara district coordinator Mr. Kalanthar Isaideen, Mannar District coordinator Mr. B.S.Sunesh and several other activists were also participated to the program.
