We want to have sustainable fisheries in the country,
while tourism is one way of the benefit the coastal communities and not a
hindrance to their livelihoods, land and human rights as a whole. We need to
have a dialogue among all the parties engage in tourism and also responsible
the well being of coastal communities including fishing communities. We are
organizing a round table dialogue for this and we want to achieve through a
dialogue among policy makers, tourism bureaucrats, fisher folk, civil society
groups, investors, hoteliers etc.
Therefore, we are inviting you to take part in a round table
discussion with the fishermen, farmers, hoteliers, investors and civil society
groups in order to sort out and mitigate the issues on promoting tourism
industry through a dialogue. Our dialogue will be based on the research NAFSO conducted
in collaboration with Society for the Threatened People [STP], Switzerland.
