Weediye virodaya ("Street Resistance"), the group who were involved in aware people around the Island during the 2015 presidential election needy of change in the political system in the country.
To protect the achieved victory and to show resistance to racialism Weediye virodaya group have came to the street again.
three programs were conducted in 3 districts on 23, 24th and 25th of May (Kandy on 23rd, Rajanganaya on 24th and Kurunegala on 25th). A awareness conference was conducted during morning hours and later open theater dramas, leaflet distribution and verbal awareness campaign conducted targeting pedestrians.
about 4000 people were educated on the mattes during the three day campaign.
