Targeting two crucial UN summits towards the end of the year will offer the opportunity to bring about impactful change, worldwide coalition of Action 2015 Sri Lanka together with National Fisheries Solidarity Movement, Sri Vimukthi Fisher Women Organization, Nanadiriya Organisation, Catholic church conducted an youth action date.
A walk for Defeat the Poverty, Minimise the changes in climate by preventing environmental pollution and build a society with no drug abuse was commenced around the Negombo town covering wider area in fisher villages in the morning hours of the day. About 600 youth, children and adult activists from Sri Vimukthi Fisher women organisation were participated to the walk.
A drawing competition and an environment cleaning program was conducted at the evening of the day. Adults,Youth and children were enthusiastically participated to all events and successfully concluded the program hoping for better future for the world.
