"We are attempting to stand on our own feet" A Women Headed House Hold says at the end of livelihood training program

A tailoring/ sewing workshop has been conducted to the members of Rural Workers Organization/ NAFSO under Land & Livelihood Rights Program in Jaffna district with 05 women during 25th April to 2nd of May 2019. 
The war affected women are attempting to come up their lives through learning of livelihood skills which is organized by NAFSO which is facilitated by Oxfam- Germany/ Australia, which is funded by BMZ, the German Government. 
"We lost our bread winners in the family, either killed or disappeared during the war. Now we are living with many hardships. We are desperately need some livelihood assistance for our survival. The Rural Workers Organization, support to enhance our skills on Sewing would be a great help for us to stand our own feet and not to begging from any one any further." A woman who got the training for sewing shared her views with her appreciation to the strength she got. 
"It is necessary to get the basic materials for apply this training as soon as possible. We learned we would get some support for the livelihood building by 2020, which is too late." added another trainee of the sewing workshop.
"We will do our best to facilitate the basic needs, materials and machine for those women who completed the training successfully." Said, I Inpanayagam, the chair of Rural Worker Organization and the coordinator of NAFSO in Jaffna.
