"තරුණ පරපුර ආරක්ෂා කරන්න. මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ඉවත් කරන්න" යන මැයෙන් මන්නාරම වලප්පිරායි දිස්ත‍්‍රික් කාන්නා සංවිධානයේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් මන්නාරම ප‍්‍රධාන බස් නැවතුම් පොලේ 2020 පෙබරවාරි 13 වන දින සවස් යාමයේදී අත්සන් ව්‍යාපාරයක් සහ උද්ඝෝෂණ ව්‍යාපාරයක් පැවත්විණි.
මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය භාවිතයෙන් තරුණ පරපුරට සිදුවන හානිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීම ද මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය භාවිතයට එරෙහිව අත්සන් ලබා ගැනීම ද මෙම අවස්ථාවේ දී සිදු විය. මෙම අවස්ථාවේදී මාධ්‍ය කිහිපයක් පැමිණ තොරතුරු ලබා ගත් අතර ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ ඇන්තනී ජේසුදාසන් මහතා සහ ලවීනා හසන්ති මහත්මිය ද මන්නාරම් දිස්ත‍්‍රික් සම්බන්ධිකාරක බෙනඩික් කෲස් මහතා ද සජිවක සජිවිකාවන් ද මෙම අවස්ථාව සදහා සහභාගි වූහ.

A protest
campaign and the signature collection campaign for a petition on ‘Protect
Youth, fight against the drug menace’ was conducted by the Women’s group of
Mannar,walippari on the 13th of February 2020 at Manner city.
The purpose
of the protest campaign was to educate general public on the damage cause by
‘Drugs’ (substance abuse) and to collect signatures of the general public for a
petition on the above subject. Several media personnel participated to cover
the event.
