A series of annual evaluation
sessions were held on 18th December with 23 Women leaders of the
Vallaipirai Women Organization at the District Fisheries Solidarity office,
Mannar. During the evaluation attention was paid to the need of improving the capacities
of organizing, training of Valaipirai Women Organization was highlighted. It
was also taken up for the discussion of the petition handed over to the
Divisional Secretary, with regards to the proposed Land and housing scheme and
the numerous difficulties and challenges faced by the women due to the
escalating cost of living as well as of the fate of Nishalini who was subjected
to a treacherous death. Among these a video clip capturing the efforts of
Valaipirai Women Organization since its inception,2011 was also presented which
made the members much excited and empowered.
This event was attended by the Kilinochchi District Fisheries Members
along with the Program Coordinator for Peace,Reconciliation and sustainable
development of NAFSO Mr,Anthony Jesudasan and the Coordinator of Women Affairs
Mrs.Laveena Hasanthi along with Mr.Benedict Croos, the District Coordinator of
Mannar District Fisheries Solidarity.
ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ ක්‍රියාකාරි දිස්ත්‍රික් සංවිධානයක් වන මන්නාරම් දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ වලෛයිපිරෙයි කාන්තාවන්ගේ සංවිධානයේ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සම්බන්ධයෙන් වාර්ෂීක ඇගයිම් මාලාවක් පසුගිය දෙසැම්බර් මස 18 වන දිනා කාන්තාවන් 23 සහභාගිත්වයෙන් මන්නාරම් දිස්ත්‍රික් ධීවර සහයෝගිතා කාර්යාලයේදී පැවැත්විණ. මෙම අවස්ථාවේදී වලෛයිපිරෙයි කාන්තා සංවිධානයක් ලෙස කාන්තාවන් සඳහා සංවිධානය පුහුණු සහ කාන්තාවන් සම්බන්යෙන් සාකච්ඡා කළහ. එපමණක් නොව ඉඩම් හා නිවාස යෝජනා ක්‍රමයක් ඉදිකිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරයා වෙත බාර දුන් පෙත්සම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද ජිවන විදයම අධික වීම නිසා කාන්තාවන් මුහුණ දෙන ගැටලු පිළිබඳව ද ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරයා වෙත ලබා දුන් පෙත්සම පිළිබඳව ද අවසනාවත්ත ලෙස හිංසනයට ලක් වී මිය ගිය නිශාලිනි දැරියට යුක්තිය ඉටු කරදීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ආදී කරුණු පිළිබඳව ද 2011 වර්ෂයේ ආරම්භ කළ වලෛයිපිරෙයි කාන්තා සංවිධානයක් ලෙස මෙතෙක් ආ ගමන් මඟ පිළිබඳ වීඩියෝවක් ප්‍රදර්ශනය කිරීමබ මඟින් කාන්තාවන් බල ගැන්වීම ද සිදු කරන ලදී. මන්නාරම් දිස්ත්‍රික්කයෙ මෙහිදි සාකච්ඡා කළහ. මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ සාමය හා තිරසර සංවර්ධනය සඳහා ජනතා අතර සංවාදයේ වැඩසටහන් සම්බන්ධිකාරක ඇන්තනී ජේසුදාසන් මහතා ද කාන්තා කටයුතු සම්බන්ධිකාරිනි ලවීනා හසන්ති මහත්මිය ද මෙම අවස්ථාවට සම්බන්ධ වූ අතර මන්නාරම් දිස්ත්‍රික් ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ සම්බන්ධිකාරක බෙනඩික් කෲස් මහතා ද එහි කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය සම්බන්ධ වූහ.
