Today, 18th June 2022 Northern Province Fisher People Unity conducted it's general body meeting.

* Fuel issues and difficulties of fisher community
* Current political situation
* Tamil Nadu government of India attempts to take over Kachchativu island.
* Illegal and migration fishing
* Issues on wind power project
Finally a work plan for the next 3 months was prepared.
Jaffna, Mullaithevu, kilinochchi and Mannar reprasentatives, district coordinators of NAFSO, project north coordinator Miss. T. Datsha, Mr. Herman kumara - National Convener, Mr. Anthony Jesudasan, project Coordinator and Mrs. Lavina Hasanthi- Coordinator of Gender Development program participated and gave inputs.
