Youth members of Kalutara attached to the campaign for environmental and social change participated in an awareness-raising training on Plastic collection and the recycling process. It was held on Saturday 20th August 2022 at Karadagolla Viharaya in Kalutara Beruwala. 28 youth members attended the awareness program.
In this program, two officials of ECO SPINDLE institute explained to the youth about the damage caused by the use of plastic and its negative impact on the environment.
The huge environmental damage caused by the release of plastic into the environment and the plastic recycling process were also explained to the youth. They further explained the importance of plastic collection process, the yarn production by Eco spindle through using plastic and the sale of such yarn to the world market to earn foreign exchange. For this event, Mr Laksiri Fernando, Coordinator of the Youth Movement for Environment and Social Change, Kalutara District Coordinator Ms Damayanthi, and the youth of Kalutara District participated.
ප්ලාස්ටික එකතු කිරීම හා එහි ප්‍රතිචක්‍රීකරණ ක්‍රියාවලිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පරිසරය හා සමාජ වෙනසක් සඳහා වු තරුණ ව්‍යාපාරයේ කළුතර තරුණ තරුණියන් දැනුවත් කිරීම 2022 අගෝස්තු මස 20 වන සෙනසුරාදා දින කළුතර, බේරුවල කරදගොල්ල විහාරස්ථානයේදී පැවැත්විණ. මෙහිදි ECO- SPRIGLE ආයතනයේ නිලධාරීන් වන මලිඳු දස්මින් ලියනගේ මහතා සහ එම ආයතනයේ තවත් නිලධාරීයෙකු පැමිණ ප්ලාස්ටික් භාවිතයෙන් පරිසරයට සිදුවන හානිය හා එහි ඇති අනසි බලපෑම සම්බන්ධයෙන් එම නිලධාරීන් එදින පැමිණ තරුණ තරුණයන් දැනුවත් කරන ලදී.
ප්ලාස්ටික් පරිසරයට මුදා හැරීමෙන් සිදුවන අති විශාල පරිසර හානිය හා ප්ලාස්ටික් ප්‍රිතිචක්‍රීකරණ ක්‍රියාවලිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද ප්ලාස්ටික් එකතු කිරීමේ ක්‍රියාවලිය නූල් නිෂ්පාදන ක්‍රියාවලිය හා ලෝක වෙළඳපොලට බෙදා හැරීම හා ප්ලාස්ටික් නිසි පරිදි බැහැර කිරීමෙන් පරිසරයෙන් සිදුවන යහපත් බලපෑම සම්බන්ධයෙන් දැනුවත් කරන ලදී. මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා පරිසරය හා සමාජ වෙනසක් සඳහා වු තරුණ ව්‍යාපාරයේ සම්බන්ධිකාරක ලක්සිරි ප්‍රනාන්දු මහතා ද කළුතර දිස්ත්‍රික් සම්බන්ධිකාරිකා දමයන්ති මහත්මිය ද කළුතර දිස්ත්‍රික් තරුණ තරුණියන් මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගි වූහ.
