The current political confusion in the country, the state repression, the disappearances under the guise of martial law and the people's struggle, and as a result of the joint discussion between the fighters and the civil organizations regarding the future measures of the struggle, as a result of the joint discussion between the activists and the civil organizations, the civil organizations jointly encouraged the golf face people's struggle and they are strong for the future actions they will take for the country. In order to support them, a joint meeting and campaign of civil organizations was held on Friday 29th July 2022 at Galle Face.
For this occasion, many religious leaders, especially Christian priests and religious brothers, Lord Namak, members of the National Fishermen's Cooperation Movement, Sri Vimukti Fishermen's Women's Organization, and other civil organizations and social activists, as well as human rights activists joined hands on this occasion.
