A demonstration organized by the Negombo Jana Sabha demanding the immediate release of the kidnapped activists Wasantha Mudalige and Venerable Siridhamma Bhikshu who were forcibly arrested with the slogans "Stop Repression, Emergency Law, Repeal the Terrorism Act" was held in front of the Negombo Municipal Council on 11th October 2022. Held at Thelwatta Junction, Negombo.

පැහැර ගත් අරගලකරුවන් වහා නිදහස් කරනු! මර්දනය නවතනු! හදිසි නීතිය ත්‍රස්තවාදි පනත අකුලා ගනු! යන්න සටන් පාඨ ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් බලහත්කාරයෙන් අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් වසන්ත මුදලිගේ සහ සිරිධම්ම භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේ වහා නිදහස් කරන ලෙස බල කරමින් මීගමුව ජන සභාව විසින් සංවිධානය කළ උද්ඝෝෂණයක් 2022 ඔක්තෝම්බර් 11 වන දින මීගමුව නගර සභාව ඉදිරිපිට තේල්වත්ත මන්සන්ධියේදී පැවැත්විණ. මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා සිවිල් සංවිධාන නියෝජනය කරමින් ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරය ඇතුළු සිවිල් සංවිධාන කිහිපයක් ද ආගමික නායකයින් ද සිවිල් ක්‍රියාධරයින් ද මානව හිමිකම් ක්‍රියාධරයන් ද ඇතුළු විශාල පිරිසක් මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගි වූහ.
