PPC officers visited Ampara

NAFSO organized People’s Planning Commission’s officers visited throughout the Ampara district to find the latest situation in Tsunami affected District after passing 500 days for the people who are living in camps with many defects without even their basic needs yet. A lot of affected people were gathering there to tell their plea with us because they don’t have even any government officer to find out their needs. Though they had passed 500 days for the disaster most of people are already living in huts and camps but government and the other responsible authorities are not hearing them to change their miserable life style. In this present situation the affected people are fighting for their rights, especially Lands, Ration card, Employment problems as well as an another main problem is High Security Zones in the area.

Finally we would like to emphasize to the world the affected people should be built as soon as possible by providing houses, lands and other basic needs without killing them again.
