A special discussion of Pothuvil Kalappukattu Rural Fishermen's Association in Ampara district was held on 15th September 2023 with the participation of fishermen leaders and the fishing community. In this special discussion, the problems faced by the fishing community at present, how to recruit young fishermen and how to popularize organic gardening among fishermen were discussed.
