Let us Proudly Commemorate International Year of Small Scale Fisheries & Aquiculture - 2022

We conducted these programs with much difficulty. However, our efforts will continue amidst the challenges we face. We invite all concerned parties to empower voiceless women and amplify their voices to hear all concerned groups."

We conducted a general body meeting of the Northern province women's voice (Vada mahagana Pengal Kural) with the participation of 25 women leaders during the 2nd and 3rd September at Mannar. The meeting reflected the journey of the VPK for the past 2 years amidst economic, social and political crisis and planned for the coming year to move forward based on the learning of PEACE FPAR reflection session held by APWLD - Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development at Chiangmai,Thailand. The young researcher and mentor applied the training techniques which learned at the reflection WS of APWLD and motivated the team to mobilize the members and strengthening the movement.  The young leader from Kilinochchi said that "I enjoyed the programme and facilitators were friendly and motivated the group very creative way. The action plans we prepared to leadership formation & movement building,  advocacy campaign and economic development were very clear to me for way forward as VPK".
Suba Shini Deepa, the Young Researcher of the program said, "We conducted these programs with much difficulty. However, our efforts will continue amidst the challenges we face. We invite all concerned parties to empower voiceless women and amplify their voices to hear all concerned groups."
