Marumalacchi District Women's Conference was held at Kithul Community Hall on Wednesday 21st September 2022. Here, the results of the round table discussion held with the government and politicians in March 2021 regarding the problems faced by the people were examined and a plan was prepared for the future actions to be taken for the unresolved problems. Mrs. Lavina Hasanti, Women's Project Coordinator of the National Fishery Cooperation Movement, gave an explanation about the activities carried out in the past 12 years and also explained about the things to be done in the future. Mr. Anthony Jesudasan, the campaign coordinator of the National Fishery Cooperation Movement, explained how to implement the district movement and how to develop the strength of the members and build unity among the members. District Coordinator Ms. Sharmila and Ms. Nirosha assisted in conducting the meeting and preparing the plans. 30 people representing villages participated in the meeting.
